What i Stand For
Protecting our Constitutional Rights
In the last few years, we have experienced blatant disregard for our Constitutional Rights by our very own government. If elected, I will fight to ensure that the rights of the people, guaranteed to all by our Federal and State Constitutions, will not be hindered and will always be on the forefront of all legislative decisions.
Parental Rights & Education
One of the biggest issues in my district is School transparency and parental rights. If elected I will fight for parents to have a say in what is being taught to their children in public schools. I will fight for all curriculum to be easily accessible for public review and comment. I will also advocate for a restructuring of the BOE with the possibility of having an elected school board instead of an appointed one.
Economy
Hawaii has always been known to have a high cost of living and it continues to climb with the rise of inflation. This makes it hard for the people of Hawaii to live and thrive. If elected I will fight for a temporary waiver of our gas tax making gas prices at the pump lower. I will also fight to remove the state general excise tax on food, medicine, and medical care. Property taxes and the burden of building the rail needs to be revisited, reviewed and revised. I will also ask for audits of all government departments to determine how spending can be reduced.
Sustainability
Hawaii has a vast expanse of land and resources that can and should be utilized properly for the benefit of our people and to grow our local economy. If elected, I will advocate for Hawaii to move more rapidly towards becoming self sustainable which would include supporting local farmers and small business owners in order for all of us to thrive. I will also look into reforming the Jones Act and push to make Hawaii an Export state.
